I am facing the same thing as we decide about a wedding coming up only days after we return with our baby (so I'm hopeful). The relatives want us to come and bring the baby but the bride is worried that the baby will steal all the limelight at the bridal shower. So maybe I will have to skip one function. Maybe. Depends on what the older ladies decide - they rule the roost!
